一片风景旖旎的海滩
A BEAUTIFUL BEACH

平潭岛的海滩简称“澳”，多为地名。位于平潭坛南湾风景区中部，有一处颇具发展潜力的优质海滩——田美澳。近年来，平潭旅游市场火爆，各大旅游景区人潮涌动，田美澳现已成为游客踩沙踏浪的度假胜地。

The beaches of Pingtan Island are abbreviated as "Ao" which located in the middle of Pingtan Tannan Bay Scenic Area, there is a high-quality with great development potential beach called Tian Meiao. In recent years, the tourist market in Pingtan is prosperous, with crowds in major tourist attractions,  Tian Meiao has become a holiday destination for tourists enjoy in stepping on sand and waves.

无法增建、就地改造
UNABLE TO BUILD / IN SITU MODIFICATION

随着游客量的增多，田美澳需设立一个具有公共服务属性的旅游驿站。但平潭岛对自然资源有严格的保护，现状海滩生态红线范围内已无法增设建设用地。于是我们将田美澳上原本即将拆除的废弃鲍鱼养殖场进行保留，试图将闲置的渔业养殖空间蜕变成服务于海滩的旅游驿站，为往来的岛民及游客提供方便的休憩、交流、轻食小饮的集散场所。

Due to the increase in the number of tourists, Tianmeiao needs to build up a tourist Station with public service attributes. However, Pingtan Island has strict protection of natural resources, and it is impossible to add construction land within the ecological red line of the beach. Therefore, we preserved the abandoned abalone farm on Tianmeiao where was decided to be demolished, we trying to transform the idle fish farming space into a tourist service station, to provid convenient rest, communication, food & drinks for the tourists and local here.

延续形态、功能重塑
CONTINUOUS FORM / FUNCTIONAL REMODELING

这座废弃的鲍鱼场建筑在收储后重新改造，整个驿站的建筑外观设计延续了本土石头厝的形态，保留原有建筑基底，重构传统硬山屋顶。诠释过去与现在的对话，让遗留下来的每一块石头以新的形式彰显石厝的魅力。

This abandoned abalone farm building was renovated after storage. The exterior design of the entire station continues the shape of the local stone house, retaining the original building base and reconstructing the traditional hard mountain roof. Interpret the dialogue between the past and the present, and let each stone left over show the charm of the stone house in a new form.

驿站除了有公厕、淋浴房等基础服务配套功能外，我们希望以“业态”提升“形态”。在场地中植入公共连廊空间，将两组现状建筑串联，形成一个内庭院。利用庭院内现状养殖池的高差，形成驿站的舞台空间。建筑、连廊和内庭院三者在功能上相互区分构成了驿站的三种公共空间：展示空间、休闲空间和商业预留空间。

In addition to the basic service supporting functions such as public toilets and shower rooms, we hope to enhance the business form. A public corridor space is implanted in the site, and two existing buildings are connected in series to form an inner courtyard. Use the height difference of the current breeding pond in the courtyard to build a stage space of the service station. The building, the corridor and the inner courtyard are functionally distinguished from each other to form the three public spaces : exhibition space, leisure space and commercial reserved space.

顺应自然、就地取材
CONFORMING TO THE NATURE / USE LOCAL MATERIALS

为了应对平潭地区的特殊气候，自古岛上的渔民们以当地花岗岩和火山岩为主要建筑材料，建造出极具特色的石头厝建筑群。这些被称之为没有建筑师的建筑，渗透着当地居民尊重自然、顺应自然的理念，体现出渔民们的生存智慧。保留的石头墙体抗风防腐、固若金汤，新建屋面造型、连廊等金属构件则采用铝材，提升防腐防潮能力，是传统建造技术与现代建造技术的结合。

To cope with the special climate of Pingtan area, fishermen here has built distinctive stone houses with local granite and volcanic rock as the main building materials since ancient times. Those buildings was bulit without architects, which are permeated with the local residents' concept for respecting and conforming to nature, also those bulidings to reflecting the fishermen's survival wisdom . The retained stone walls are resistant to wind and corrosion, very strong. The new roof modeling, corridor and other metal components are made of aluminum, which improves the anti-corrosion and moisture-proof ability. It is a combination of traditional construction technology and modern construction technology.

不仅仅是驿站
IT IS NOT ONLY A SERVICE STATION

田美澳驿站在海滩和环岛路之间，它还以一个独有地域文化的能量场来迎接八方来客。驿站内举办“词明戏、藤牌操、贝雕、海柳雕”等非遗项目的展示、展演，让游客在欣赏本土非物质文化遗产的同时还可现场体验、观看动态的演出。通过把非遗文化搬进景区，借助旅游平台，多方位宣传平潭特色传统文化，形成文化与旅游相辅相成、相互促进的关系。

Tian mei ao service station is located between the beach and Huan dao Road. It also welcomes visitors from all over the world with an energy field of unique regional culture. Exhibitions and performances of intangible cultural heritage items such as "ciming opera, teng pai exercises, shell carvings, sea willow carvings" are held in the station, visitors can experience and watch dynamic performances while enjoying local intangible cultural heritage. By moving the intangible cultural heritage into the scenic spot, with the advantage of tourism platform, multi-directional promotion of Pingtan's characteristic traditional culture, forming a complementary and mutually reinforcing relationship between culture and tourism.
